ABOUT ME
I come from Beijing, China. After finishing my high school study at Beijing No.4 high school (北京四ä¸). I came to UCLA for undergraduate study, and graduated with Summa Cum Laude (Highest Honor) in June 2015.
Then, I worked at Tencent (腾讯), the largest technology company in Asia, as a data scientist for two years. I also obtained the title of 2016 Tencent excellent staff.

In fall 2017, I returned to UCLA for graduate study focusing on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. I worked at UCLA computer vision lab with Professor Yingnian Wu and PhD candidate Yuanlu Xu.

Right now I am looking for a Internship opportunity related to data science.
WORK EXPERIENCE
DATA SCIENTIST, TENCENT
Dec 2015 - Sep 2017
Ÿ1). Trained logistic regression (LR) and Random Forest (RF) models to identify more than 0.5B active users of Tencent QQ.

2). Used Web crawler to obtain near 200 thousand reviews about Tencent QQ and conducted Text mining as well as Sentiment analysis by LSTM to find out the imperfections of current version.

Ÿ3). Combined background data as well as 80 thousand online surveys to constructed persona of Tencent QQ and WeChat aiming to derive business insights and find new opportunities.
​
4).Ÿ Extracted 30 million records of background data through SparkSQL and used K-means algorithm to classify the users of QQ music.

5). Designed a reporting dashboard to track the online behaviors of the selected 80 thousand users.

6). Performed competitor analysis on Snapchat to estimate the possible popularity of similar product in Chinese market.
